In just about three minutes my phone is going to go off, reminding me to check on my module registration process. It’s funny how the one class I thought I’d have trouble bidding for is the only one that’s not really giving me any trouble.
I had a brilliantly silly day yesterday, managed to get my father into story telling mode which is always so much fun. He told me a bunch of dirty little secrets from his dad’s side of the family, and I couldn’t stop giggling.
The parents are in India, somewhere at the border of India and Pakistan. It’s a dangerous place to be, so I don’t think I’ll be resting easy till they call and let me know they’ve reached Baroda safe and sound tomorrow.
I love how my family has a protocol whenever any of us are travelling. If flights land at ridiculous hours, the rest of the family members receive an sms. My phone this morning said “Reached Bombay. -Pops”
The afternoon was spent being lazy and having a much needed heart to heart with a good friend. That sort of stillness is still hovering over me, but I feel better knowing I’m not alone, and that we’ll get through it together, eventually.
I can’t believe school starts in two days, and I haven’t even registered for most of my classes yet. It’s my last semester, here’s hoping I do this one right.
And there, right on cue, is my alarm.
Till next time,
