I had yet another manic Monday, thanks in large part to the best friend’s obsessiveness when it comes to movies. Tsk. Film students.

After walked from Plaza Singapura, to The Cathay, and back, we finally bought tickets for an 8:45 screening of The Dark Knight. Then we pretty much walked back to The Cathay again (almost) for dinner. And then we walked BACK to PS because I insisted on having ice cream. And then I tried to eat him for an hour, and then we watched the movie, which was brilliant, but REALLY FREAKING LONG, and a warning about that would have been nice.
All in all, I had a damned good night out, to top a good day at work (Panty Mistress was happy. Panty Mistress didn’t have to share her internet. Happy Panty Mistress = Happy achesy, so the world was a good place for us today), and my little episode at the ATM didn’t do much to dampen the overall happy fuzzy feeling I’ve come home with.
Me: I think I should withdraw money so we can take a cab, or I’ll be late
Mix: okay. I am your ever complying, patiently protesting best friend, and will do as you suggest.
First ATM.. won’t dispense $10 bills. Second ATM won’t dispense $10 bills. Fuck that shit, I’ll just get a fifty.
Me: Idunno how I’m gonna give you change though, since the cab will be dropping me off first
Mix: Well then wtf did you draw it for?? There’s still 3 other machines you could’ve tried.
I am smart and witty and decide to re-deposit the fifty I just withdrew using the cash deposit machines. I then proceed to ATM #3 (no tens), ATM #4 (no tens) and at ATM #5 (surprise surprise, no tens!) I give up and get the fifty.
And then give Mix the $7 I had on me in the first place.
Really, I do not understand what the hell was going through my head.
Probably the same thing that was going through yours when you made me walk to the MacDonald House LJS when there’s one IN PS itself.
