of another lazy weekend
July 5, 2008
I’ve been feeling pretty blue the past few days, but I’m taking comfort in knowing that it will eventually pass. Meanwhile I’m having lots of sugar and coffee and being manically hyper at work to make time pass quicker.
Saturday morning calls for sleeping in.. which I tried to do, but by 8:30 I couldn’t loll around anymore and had to get out of bed. So far, it’s almost noon, and I’ve still done absolutely nothing, so there’s still hope for a weekend of nothingness.
Goals for the weekend:
- clean out my closet a bit. When I’m trying on clothes in a rush (ie every damn morning) I tend to very unceremoniously dump the non-chosen items on the floor of my closet, to be hung back up when I eventually get frustrated with the clutter.. and my friends know it doesn’t take much clutter to frustrate me.
- hunt for those I Love Lucy dvds.
- return my library books
- convince my father to invest in a wii.
Hey, a little wishful thinking is always good.
Other than that, I really don’t have any plans. I even ditched the gang early after last night’s massive spread at Lau Pa Sat, so I could come home and get some rest. Last I saw them, they were debating whether to just hit up the Harry’s at Robinson Road, or to walk to Boat Quay. I would’ve loved a Friday night drinkie or two (or fifteen) but I’d been running a pretty nasty fever for a couple of days, and I really don’t want to be out of action because of the flu bug that’s going around the office. Although, with my luck, my immune system will hold out right till the end of the month, and then leave me bed ridden for the one week I have off before school starts..
But yes. Today is going to see me curled up on the sofa in my Argentina jersey and boxers, watching trashy television for 6 hours straight. Once I figure out whether I want to just eat leftover pasta straight out of the fridge, or wait for my parents to come back home from their date and eat lunch with them.
Here’s to the weekend =)
