of another quickie.

Work is keeping me busy. Not in the sense that I have a lot to do AT work, but just that outside of it, I don’t have time to do much else. I leave the house by 7:20, and I don’t get home till a little after 8, upon which I eat, shower, spend a little time with my parents and sister, and then I grab as much sleep as possible.

I know that I lucked out with this job though. It’s far from home, and the traveling to and fro can seriously sap my energy, specially when I’m used to driving if I’m going to head to the West.. but I’m getting paid $7 an hour to do practically nothing. I surf the web, read my book, walk over to Nut or Peewee’s table and gossip for a while, go a little crazy with Sheryll, Ramon and Azri, my teammates.. yesterday I started and finished The Memory Keeper’s Daughter, because work was just that slow.

I’m being paid to read. Now tell me that is not the most awesome job I could ever have found.

We’re supposed to be planning for our US trip in December.. I’ve been putting that off, because, honestly, I’m scared to jinx it. I’ve been getting my hopes up and then crushed for a long while about this, and I really don’t want that to happen again. I think it’s a cinch this time, since my mom’s paying for my airfare, and I’m almost certainly earning enough in the next two months to cover everything else.. but there’s still a nagging doubt at the back of my mind, so I haven’t been able to sit down and plan anything proper.
The rain is pouring down, and my room is nice and dark thanks to my lovely curtains.. Everyone’s gone out somewhere, so I’m just enjoying the silence and peace of being home alone.. I think I’ll take a little nap before everyone gets back and it’s time for lunch..
